Jeanne Atkin is a licensed and board certified acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist. She earned her master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City and holds a certification in ‘acupuncture as a complimentary treatment for cancer patients’ from the Integrative Medicine Service at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
Jeanne practices a full-spectrum Chinese medicine approach that incorporates acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, orthopedic massage (Tui Na), Qi Gong rehabilitative exercises and “die da” (hit fall) medicine for traumatic injuries. With guidance from Jeanne in basic integrative diet and health care, patients become an intrinsic part of their own healing process, gaining valuable skills to return to and build upon for a lifetime.
A caring and gifted practitioner, Jeanne’s healing work addresses health concerns of all types, from disease prevention and treatment to male and female fertility challenges, prostrate health, post-surgical rehabilitation, stress relief, sleep disorders, musculoskeletal issues, allergies, PMS, menopausal symptoms, sports injuries, migranes and more.
Jeanne practices in two NYC-based office locations, in the Flat Iron district and in Washington Heights. Home visits are also available.
In addition to practicing acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, Jeanne is a working artist, with experience in film, and product and metal design. For 15 years the MoMA Design Store has licensed and produced one of her pieces.
